Mara is an Interior Designer working and Art Director, dedicated to creating spaces and curating projects with a focus on inclusive, restorative and accessible design.
Born in Genova, Italy, I moved to Glasgow after my High School Diploma in Psychology and Pedagogy. I graduated in Interior Design from the Glasgow School of Art and specialised in Olfactive Spatial Design from Polidesign Milano and Inclusive Architecture from Yacademy Bologna.
Started my career as a freelancer by working as the sole Interior Designer for the new Glasgow Indoor Skatepark, The Loading Bay where I designed the reception, shop, and cafe area and designed a small-scale radio station for Clydebuilt Radio in the historical Glasgow’s Barras Market.
I am Co-Founder and Creative Director of Doyenne, a skate brand and design studio run by women with a focus on inclusivity.
Following a worldwide interest in the brand, we organised events and exhibitions in Glasgow, Edinburgh, London, and New York City.
Doyenne is been featured in many magazines and publications including Forbes, I-D Magazine, Highsnobiety, Gurlstalk, and more.
Now living and working freelance, in Torino, Italy.
